Quick answer
To keep your Terraria King Slime metallic sticker looking its best, apply it to a clean, smooth, dry surface and avoid direct sunlight or moisture. Use gentle cleaning methods and consider a clear coat for extra protection.
Why metallic stickers need special care
Metallic stickers like the Terraria King Slime have a shiny foil layer that can scratch, tarnish, or peel if handled roughly. The adhesive is strong but works best on non-porous surfaces like laptops, notebooks, or glass.
Applying to rough or dirty surfaces can reduce adhesion and cause edges to lift over time.
Common trade-offs with placement
Placing the sticker on a curved surface (like a water bottle or controller) may cause corners to lift. Flat surfaces are safer. Outdoor placement exposes the sticker to UV rays and moisture, which can dull the metallic finish. For long-term display, indoor is best.
Diagnosis: Is your sticker peeling or fading?
- Symptom: Edges of the sticker are lifting or peeling away from the surface.
- Likely cause: The surface was not clean or dry before application, or the sticker was applied to a curved or textured area. Check if the surface is smooth and non-porous before reapplying.
- Corrective action: Gently press the lifted edge with a clean, soft cloth. If it won't stick, remove the sticker carefully and apply to a clean, flat surface. Avoid bending the foil layer. If the adhesive is too weak after removal, consider a new sticker.
- Stop or choose another option: If the sticker has visible creases or the foil is torn, replacement is the best option. For outdoor or high-wear use, consider a clear protective laminate or switch to a vinyl sticker for better durability.
